Mr. Tovey's leaving! He told the whole school today in awards chapel. A lot of people cried. I was trying not to, and then I looked over and Bert, Joel, Tim, Nate, and Jeremy had tears streaming down their faces and the were just bawling, and I started to. Freaking Vulcan Andy didn't have any such of a reaction but I bet he's sad too. He had better be, anyway.

This just makes the state band competition victory just that much more special, and St. Louis, too. Oh gosh...it's going to be painful. I wonder if it would be completely insensitive for someone to leave Tom Farrand's phone number on Mr. Bole's desk?
