Whoa nelly. I just got slapped with a $188 lost-book fine for my library books, which I could have sworn I renewed. Apparently not...so the library thinks they're lost, which they aren't, because I'm staring at them right now on my living room floor.

So I'm thinkin' I should go return those, huh? Dagnabbit. Here's hoping they lift the fine once the books show up again.

Just talk to the librarian at the desk when you return them... I've have $100+ fines for "lost" books three seperate times now since freshman year. I've not had to pay a dime.

I schlepped out to campus last night and dumped them in the book return. If the fine's still on my account tomorrow, I'll go have a chit-chat with the lovely librarian ladies.
