From left to right: Kelly, Andrew, Julie, Tyler, Katie, Mike, Gwendolyn.

Julie made the dresses that she and Kelly are wearing and they both looked absolutely lovely. I made both mine and Gwendolyn's, as well as Andrew's coat. I was really, really happy with Gwendolyn's dress, and she was reportedly very pleased with it as well. She's responsible for the sash, which really finished off the ensemble. Andrew was also quite taken with his coat, which was draped especially to fit his natural posture so that he'd be comfortable moving and dancing in it. It's also very warm, but he refused to take it off because "it looks too good!" which was very flattering to hear.

Andrew and Gwendolyn dancing the second dance (after we arrived; I don't know what number it really was).

Andrew and Gwendolyn again; Andrew wore his moccasins and it was rather amusing. I was very pleased also with the hang of his coat. The tails had a little fix work done on them, but I approve of the result.

Um, unfortunately, this is the best picture I have of Tyler (and it's of his back!); he didn't sit still for the camera very much at all! Also note the stripy lining on Andrew's coat. We all decided it was highly fetching.

I don't know who the chick on the left is, but Gwendolyn's skirt looks cool in this picture. Mike and Tyler make an appearance in the background.

Gwendolyn: AAAH!
Katie: Bwahaha!

Julie, on Mike's coat: "It was gorgeous, and he was adorable." I'll have to remember to tell him that, because he really did look quite dashing. Also, Gwendolyn's sash was ridiculously and fabulously long.

Julie was adorable. With her hair like that, she looked freakishly like Elizabeth Bennet (kind of a combination of the one in my head and the one from the old seventeen-hour-long P&P adaption ). Andrew also claimed her for a dance more than once because she had no problems just shoving him where he needed to be in case he got lost.

Okay, so the girl that Julie is dancing with in this picture got cropped out, but she was really good. She also had no problems nudging people where they needed to be, which was very helpful.

I was particularly proud of how Julie's hair turned out because, while I'm accustomed to styling it for her, it's a good six or seven inches shorter than the last time I did so. So it wasn't fancy, but it looked how it was supposed to and actually was really cute. Also, she's wearing the little short stays from Sense & Sensibility/Simplicity, and I was very impressed with the shape they gave.

Hah! Finally, a picture of my pelisse! The outfit I was wearing was completed almost two years ago and had never been worn in its entirety to any kind of event, or even for photographs. The train is pinned up (thank you, Julie!) so it wouldn't get stepped on, and even though the bustling effect was quite large because of the stiffness of the silk tissue, it really looks cool in pictures.

This was also a fun dance. It's too bad I don't remember much of it. My hair was absolutely frightening before I crammed it all down into a bun; I actually got it to take and hold spiral curls in the front and it was gigantic compared to its normal state. I basically curled it the night before and hid it under a bandanna all day so the curls wouldn't fall if they got wet in the snow (really bad snowstorm for half my drive to Lansing=fear of getting stranded=awesome).

Those black ballet flats were one of the best purchases I made in 2007. The guy behind Mike is named Gene and he was kind of creepy. And by "kind of," I mean, "really creepy."

And then he asked me for the next dance. AHAHAHA. I said yes, of course, and it was the highlight of my evening. He was really freakish about eye contact--as in, you had to make it or he'd reprimand you. So the second or third time he told the other girl in our hands-four set "look at my eyes," I took it as a challenge and stared him down the entire rest of the dance. It was freaking hilarious. He had no problem grabbing people and wrangling them where he wanted them to go, either, which freaked Mike out in the pictured dance.

Other than that my stays are too long over the hips, this is an insanely comfortable outfit. It's very lightweight compared to a lot of my fort clothes and quite easy to move in when the train is up.

Mike's tails look cool spinning!

Yaaay! :)
