Yeah, so they shut down Detroit Metro Airport. I am so glad that I live on the other side of the state. Lansing lost power for a little while, but now Consumers' Energy and the MSU power plant are back up. The Board of Water and Light is still down though. Grandpa got to use his generator for a little while, about ten hours, he said. The problem in some places is not that they don't have generators, but that they don't have gas to run the generators. Governor Moron Granholm just signed and executive order allowing West MI to ship gas to East MI, since apparently there are some formula difference laws for Detroit as opposed to everyone else. It's improbable that W. MI will run out of gas, just likely that gas will be very expensive for a little while now.

We recieved an invitation to Sarah's wedding the other day. I'm really excited. I just met her last week on the canoe trip, but she's really nice, and my dad adopted her so she's my sister now. Holly got to work with her while she was counseling (Sarah's the lifeguard at 5 Pines) and liked her a lot as well, so it's cool that we get to be there.

I took a five or six hour nap this afternoon. It felt really nice. I've been very tired for the past few days, having been getting up early, going to bed late, and engaging in more exercise than I'm used to. And I'm not sure that I'd be less bored if Holly were home, but at least it would be another variable in the living conditions. It is rather nice to have my parents to myself, though.
