Dec. 13th, 2003 12:40 amDuring the past twelve days, I have not gone to bed before two o'clock a.m., save for three instances. Two of those, I was in bed between one and two. The other, I didn't turn in until after four. This is not a healthy thing. I'm hoping the parents don't read this, it's not that I LIKE staying up to unholy hours of the morning. It's an interesting cocktail of stress, worry, work, and just a general night-owl tendency.
Both pieces of sleeve trim for the Requiem dress are done. I'm cutting out the neck trim template to trace as I type. Or rather, not so much as I type but I was a few minutes ago and I'll continue once I'm done typing. Twelve sheets of typing paper. I just took a picture. Turns out the spacing is going to work just about perfectly on the trim pattern repeat, I think. I'm definitely going to need more beads. Eep!
I'm declaring Saturday to be a sewing day, since I'm coming down to the wire on costumes. I'm going to shove all my clothes and junk to the edges of my room and cut out Holly's Eowyn undertunic (instead of a whole blue dress, I'm just doing a tunic shirt, since she's like, allergic to skirts), fix the sides of her jumper if I have to shove a broomstick in one sleeve and out the other and suspend her from the ceiling with her arms out to her sides, and cut out dad's vest. I will also go buy another package of silver bugle beads and Goodwill Dad a shirt that I can add bigger sleeves to, since he's not picky, I'm not either in this case, and I can't make a whole collared or bound shirt in less than five days. Also, must either buy more tissue paper or purloin another sheet from mother to trace the neckline trim onto. She'll kill me, no doubt, so I should probably add that to my list. Will also be good for wrapping presents.
Finally took my AC out yesterday and put in the storm window. Now the room feels really really hot, XP. Shoulda just left it in, I liked it cool.
The TTT Extended Edition party went well, that was tonight. Quite a few people came, and we all had fun. I pretty much crashed during the second disc, I'm so tired. I'm lagging now, even. I can sleep for at least eight hours if I go to bed now, though, so that's what I'm going to do. Good night!
