ktlovelyWell, basically what that scholarship competition did for me was to confirm that I a)do not look forward to college, and b)do not want to live on campus. I think I did all right on the essay and I'm not sure at all about the interview. Anyway, we don't find out anything til March, so I'm just going to try and forget about today.
The evening wasn't so bad. I was almost late for the variety show but I made it on time in the end. I only meant to lie down for an hour or so but I slept too long and got delayed. The flute piece sounded good, even though we made a bit of a mistake toward the beginning. Nobody really noticed. The illustrations for the Three Trees and Mrs. Steenwyk made it up, and everyone seemed to like them. I got a ton of commpliments, and a lot of people wanted to know if that's what I planned on doing for a career. No, not even close, but it was rather flattering anyway.
After the show, a handful of the seniors went to Ansley's house to study Bible. I stopped home long enough to change and eat something for the first time since noon, then dashed off to Ansley's. We studied, it was helpful, and the loud half of the crowd wasn't there. It was Jessica, Ansley, me, Joel, Joey, Nate, Ryan, Josh, and Andy, so we actually got work done. Unlike the Lord of the Flies study session. Meh.
Okay...so...it's now 2:36 A.M. I got a bunch of beading done on one piece of trim, and now I'm going to go to bed. Good night!
